In any case, this is revealed by the latest study by the market analysis firm NPD Group. In effect, the Xbox division had its best March ever, in terms of units sold and dollar sales. Specifically, Xbox surpassed its previous sales records set in March 2011 (in terms of units) and March 2014 (in terms of dollar sales).

Xbox Series X / S explode sales records in March 2022
The Xbox Series X and Series S were the best-selling game consoles in both March 2022 and the first quarter of the yearwhile the Nintendo Switch dominated sales in terms of units during the first three months of 2022. As reported by our colleagues from the specialized site Ventura Beat, the general manager of Xbox games marketing Aaron Greenberg confirmed last week that consoles Xbox Series X/S sold 13.87 million units since their launch 17 months ago, in November 2020.

Regarding video game sales, Elden Ring has established itself without difficulty on the American market. Indeed, From Software’s latest title is dominating the charts, closely followed by Gran Turismo 7 and Kirby and the Forgotten Land on Switch. Note that the title published by Namco Bandai was already number one on the US market in February 2022. In fact, it is now the second best-selling game in the fiscal year ending March 2022just behind a certain Call of Duty: Vanguard.
