There still seems to be hope for fans who, following the announcement of the arrival of Alan Wake Remastered last week, feared they would never get their hands on the sequel. Alan Wake 2.
Will Alan Wake 2 come after Alan Wake Remastered?
According to the video game industry reporter Jeff Grubb, Remedy is currently working on a full-blown sequel to Alan Wake, which “will come in the future.” Grubb said that Epic Games will be the publisher of the sequel to the saga, but he also said he’s not sure how far the game’s debut can be.
“They are planning an Alan Wake sequel. It’s something I’ve talked about before… they’re working with Epic Games to produce an Alan Wake 2, or at least it’s in the planning stages. “Grubb said in a recent stream on the Giant Bomb site. “So will it turn into something concrete and real? I’m confident. I think yes. I don’t think it can derail ”.
Grubb went on to explain that Remedy, as a whole, is engaged in many different areas at the moment. This situation could be why the 2010 game’s sequel may end up not actually being released anytime soon. However, Remastered really appears to be the studio’s way of trying to get a whole new audience to discover the franchise (who will never savor the pleasures of Alan Wake’s product placement though).
