ASUS has announced the laptops Vivobook Go 14 and Vivobook Go 15 OLED with Intel processors. Both devices are mainly oriented towards basic uses and value for money thanks to the incorporation of Intel Core i3-N305 processors. In addition to being thin and light, they have a sleek and practical design, a 180-degree hinge, feature the ASUS SonicMaster sound system with Dirac audio processing, and are rugged to US military-grade standards.
The fact that the name varies by more than just the screen size on each model is because the screen technology is different. The screen of the Vivobook G14 (E1404G) is IPS, while that of the Vivobook Go 15 OLED is of the type indicated in its own name.
to processor Intel Core i3 adds 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of storage for data in SSD format via PCIe. Other features of these Vivobook laptops are the ASUS ErgoSense keyboard; an HD camera with ASUS 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR), AI-powered noise cancellation, and a physical privacy shield; in addition to a set of applications from ASUS itself, among which are MyASUS, GlideX and ScreenXpert 3.
Going a little deeper into the distinctive look of each model, Vivobook Go 15 OLED supports a native resolution of Full HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) and an aspect ratio of 16:9. Other details related to the screen, which is of the NanoEdge type, are the thin bezels and a color reproduction with the support of the 100% DCI-P3 color gamut. The fast response time of 0.2 milliseconds ensures smooth motion scenes, a feature that is part of the ASUS OLED Care package, aimed at maximizing the lifespan of the screen itself.
The Vivobook Go 14’s IPS screen supports Full HD resolution with wide viewing angles and occupies 83% of the available surface. With the TÜV Rheinland eye care certificate, ASUS has been involved in reducing the risk of visual fatigue on the screens of both laptop models during the long sessions that the user can spend in front of them, thereby reducing the levels of flicker and of blue light.
The two Vivobook Go laptop models announced by ASUS stand out for their durability. This feature is certified to the latest US military grade standard, the MIL-STD-810Hwhich is comprised of up to twelve test methods and twenty-six individual tests that make up the most stringent regimen in the industry.
