ASUS Unveils TUF RTX 3050 Graphics Card for Ray Tracing

The graphics cards intended for gaming seem to be reducing their prices due to an increase in stock and a decrease in demand. One of the main manufacturers of graphics cards is ASUS, which announces a new solution based on the NVIDIA RTX 3050. Specifically, the graphics card has been presented ASUS TUF RTX 3050 double fan.

Initially, products from the ASUS TUF range were received with some reluctance by users. These products are really of very good quality and have a very reasonable price. A cheaper product range than the high-end RoG range and the STIX models, which is in between.

A few weeks ago NVIDIA introduced us to the RTX 3050 graphics card. The company presented it as the cheapest graphics card with support for Ray Tracing. It would come to replace the GTX 16 Series graphics cards that were launched alongside the RTX 20 Series, and lacked support for Ray Tracing.

The RTX 3050 is based on the GA106-150 silicon with a total of 2560 CUDA Cores, 80 TMUs and 48 ROPs. This graphics card is accompanied by 8GB GDDR6 @ 14 GHz and a 128-bit data bus. A well-balanced graphics card for gaming

The model launched by ASUS belongs to the TUF range, respecting the characteristic design of the heatsinks in this range. This graphics card has two fans and a heatsink size of 2.8 slots (come on, 3 effective PCI slots).

We have two versions of this TUF RTX 3050, there is the basic edition and the OC edition. The basic model has a Boost frequency of 1770 MHz and through the ASUS GPU Tweak it can reach 1807 MHz. On the other hand, the model with OC has a Boost frequency of 1845 MHz and with ASUS GPU Tweak it can reach 1875 MHz.

The two graphics cards have a dual BIOS system, integrating silent and gaming profiles. We can make configuration adjustments as we want and restore the factory settings through the double BIOS system.

Both models have RGB lighting located at the top that seems to correspond to the backplate. Regarding the video outputs, this graphics card has two HDMI 2.1 and three ports Display Port 1.4.

Availability and price of these graphics

As far as we know, ASUS has not revealed the price of this TUF RTX 3050 graphics card. The launch date has also not been revealed, but it should be on the market in a few days. The RTX 3050 graphics, due to their quite attractive price, are quite in demand among video game fans.

NVIDIA has brought Ray Tracing and DLSS to the entry level, something that users have been demanding. If you wanted to enjoy this technology, you should opt for the RTX 20 Series, although due to the lack of stock they were not exactly at a good price. Now there’s a graphics card that answers the demands of gamers who want Ray Tracing, but have a tight budget.
