Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW, the TWS headphones that seek to break the autonomy record

Audio-Technica has announced a new pair of truly wireless headphones that aim to offer the longest battery life on the market, the Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW. When the usual thing in this type of headphones is to offer a range of between 7 and 10 hours, the new Audio-Technica model promises to reach 20 hours of continuous playback. And not only that, because if we add the capacity of the charging case, the headphones can reach up to 50 hours of autonomy.

Although it is a really high autonomy, some nuances must be taken into account so that it can be fulfilled. The Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW offer 20 hours of continuous playback as long as we are not using the active noise cancellation system that they include. With noise cancellation activated, autonomy is reduced to 15 hours, which is still a really good figure. To reach the aforementioned 50 hours we will have to use the charging case, which will allow us to spend more than two full days of listening without recharging.

These data exceed those offered by what until now were the TWS headphones with the greatest autonomy, the Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+, which promise a total of 45 hours of playback. And if we still don’t have enough, it’s also worth knowing that the Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW have a fast charge that with only 10 minutes of charge provides 90 minutes of playback.

Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW: they not only offer great autonomy

The Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW are not just drums. They have a active noise cancellation system which can be enabled or disabled at the touch of a button. And, like other models with a noise-canceling system, they have a listening function that lowers the playback volume, lets outside noise pass through and improves the vocal bandwidth, which will allow us to listen to maintain a conversion or listen an announcement at the airport without having to remove our headphones.

In terms of design, the Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW promise a secure and comfortable fit, with excellent noise isolation. They have several control buttons. The left button adjusts the volume and toggles between noise canceling and hear-through functions, while the right button allows you to start/stop playback, skip between songs or quickly enable hear-through. On the other hand, they have IPX4 certification resistance to splashes of water and sweat.

On a technical level, the Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW are equipped with new large diameter transducers (9mm Solid Bass HD TWS) that deliver deep bass. Count on Qualcomm cVc Generation 8.0 technology for better microphone performance on calls and with Google Fast Paira technology that allows, once paired with our device, the headphones to automatically turn on and connect to our Android device.

The Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW are certified for Sony 360 Reality Audio. This technology offers a new immersive music experience where individual sounds such as vocals, choir, piano, guitar, bass, and even sounds from the live audience can be placed in a 360º spherical sound field, offering artists and creators a new way to express your creativity.

As for the rest of the characteristics, we can highlight a low latency mode that minimizes audio delay, a multipoint system that allows pairing the headphones with two devices at the same time and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity for greater range compared to previous versions.

In short, very complete headphones that stand out for their autonomy but that offer much more. The Audio-Technica ATH-CKS50TW are now available on the manufacturer’s official website with an official price of €169.
