Barcelona is positioned as the third preferred European city by entrepreneurs to launch a new startup project, according to the Startup Heatmap ranking. 20% of the founders of this type of company point to the city as the place where they could imagine starting their project. Berlin and London are in first and second place, and Barcelona moves up one position compared to the previous edition.
Thus, the Catalan city is consolidated as the main digital and technological hub in Europe, with more than 1,900 startups that generate 19,300 direct jobs, according to the latest ACCIÓ report. In this context, AticcoLab & Biz Barcelona launch a Pitch Competition, within the framework of Bizbarcelona, the event that promotes innovation and talent, to give visibility and offer resources to innovative startups that offer solutions for the digitalization of companies and businesses.
The objective of the Pitch Competition 2022 will be to find solutions for the digitalization of companies, businesses and digital startups (SaaS or similar) that help or improve the digitization and efficiency of companies and businesses: HR software, logistics, management, finance, marketing, information management, commercial, etc. Five finalists will participate in Bizbarcelona and will be presented at the Pitch Competition event to be held on November 9 and 10 at the Fira Barcelona, and the Pitch Competition event will take place on the 9th. There, the winning project will be chosen with the participation of the rest of the collaborators of the call.
The finalist startups will obtain:
- Visibility through the communication channels of Biz Barcelona, Aticco and the rest of the collaborating organizations in the initiative prior to and during the call.
- Three months of free membership in Aticco Workspaces Madrid or Barcelona for a maximum of two co-founders.
- Being able to present at Biz Barcelona and demo in the Startups area.
- Discount to be able to have a Booth in the startups area of Aticco.
- Access to the selection of AticcoLab perks.
The Winning project will also get:
- Video/written interview that will be broadcast on all communication channels of Biz Barcelona and AticcoLab.
- Fast track to the AticcoLab acceleration program.
- Personalized interview and mention in the press release of the finalists and winners of the Pitch competition that will be broadcast in national media.
