Brendan Fraser (The Mummy, Doom Patrol) was chosen to interpret the villain of the upcoming DC movie Batgirl. The actor will act alongside Leslie Grace, who will play the role of Barbara Gordon (Batgirl).

According to Deadline, the actor will play the main villain of the film who looks like he could be the character created by France Herron And Dick Sprang: Firefly!
The film will be directed by Adil El Arbi And Bilall Fallah from a screenplay written by Christina Hodson, who previously worked on films such as Bumblebee, Birds of Prey And The Flash of the DC. Kristin Burr, who recently worked on Cruella, is producing the film, which will be released exclusively on HBO Max (and not in theaters).
Burr stated in a previous interview:
“With Batgirl we hope to take audiences to a fun world, to discover a different side of Gotham. Christina’s script is full of spirit. Adil and Bilall have a great joyful energy that is contagious, making them the perfect directors for this Batproject. And I’m just thrilled to be able to be a part of the DC universe, which is fantastic. “
We currently have no plot details to share, but the directors have previously confirmed that Batman will be in the movie. Now, we don’t know which Batman they were talking about but, according to the creators of Batgirl, it will be the “real Batman”.
The participation of JK Simmons as Commissioner Gordon is still uncertain.
