Mangopay has just named Carlos Sanchez Arruti like new Chief Financial Officer of the company. Carlos joins the platform-specific payment infrastructure providerhaving served as CFO of Amazon LATAM, bringing a wealth of experience driving financial strategy, transformation and operational excellence at scale.
It will also play a crucial role in driving growth, while operating with the highest standards of discipline and fiscal responsibility. His appointment reflects Mangopay’s global expansion following the acquisition of Nethone and the addition this year of a new CRO, CTO and general counsel.
With more than 20 years of work experience in financial services, retailers and platforms, Carlos will bring a track record of leadership in a high-scale environment and strategic transformation competency, which will help Mangopay achieve strong financial results. He will be responsible for driving the finance strategy of the business and scaling the finance organization to accelerate revenue growth. He joins the executive team – reporting directly to CEO Romain Mazeries – and will oversee financial planning and analysis, pricing, accounting, treasury and business support.
American Express experience
Established in Luxembourg, Carlos Sánchez Arruti, 45, joins the Mangopay business after having been CFO of Amazon Transportation Services EU and previously CFO of Amazon LATAM, where he was responsible for strategy, transformation and operational excellence. Sánchez Arruti also worked for two years as Vice President of Finance at American Express, and 14 years at GE Capital in multiple roles of increasing responsibility. Born in Puebla, Mexico, Carlos has an MBA in Corporate Finance from Columbia Business School in New York and a BA in Economics from the Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City.
