Of the three categories in which AI solutions are divided (software, hardware and services), the first will see a slight decrease in investment this year, since the amount allocated to Artificial Intelligence hardware and services will grow with more speed. This trend will continue in 2023, and in general, Artificial Intelligence Services will be the fastest growing in the next five years, with an annual growth rate of 22%. That of AI hardware growth will be 20.5%.

In the category of artificial intelligence software, AI applications took 47% of spending in the first half of 2021, followed by AI systems infrastructure software at 35%. In terms of growth, AI platforms are the ones with the best expected growth for the next five years, with an estimated annual increase of 34.6%. The segment that will grow the least in five years will be that of AI systems infrastructure software, with an annual growth rate of 14.1%.

Within the AI ​​applications segment, ERMs with AI are the ones that will grow the most over the next few years in relation to CRMs with AI and the rest of applications with AI. Among all the software areas covered by the consultancy, life cycle software with AI is the one that is going to grow the most in five years, with an annual growth rate of 38.9%.

As for the category of AI Services, which grew 20.4% year-on-year in the first half of 2021 with spending close to $18.4 billion, are expected to grow 22% in terms of investment in 2022 and continue to do so until the end of the forecast period. AI enterprise services will have a five-year annual growth rate of 21.9%, and by 2025, overall AI services are expected to have spending reaching $52.6 billion.

the category of hardware with AI It has been the one that grew the most in market share in the first half of 2021: 0.5%. However, it is expected to reach a share of total investment of 5% in 2021, with a year-on-year growth of 24.9%. AI storage had strong relative growth relative to AI servers during the first half of 2021. But this trend will reverse in 2022, with AI servers growing in investment by 26.1%, while AI storage with AI it will do 19.7%. But in terms of market share in terms of investment, the former are the ones that account for the highest percentage of spending, with 80%.
