Dell Technologies has announced the launch of the enterprise edge trading software platform NativeEdge. Designed to help simplify and streamline secure edge computing deployments, it helps streamline edge operations across all types of devices and locations, from the edge to multicloud environments and data centers.
NativeEdge offers secure device onboarding at scale, and offers remote management and orchestration of multi-cloud applications. It is specifically built to drive the enterprise edge by implementing Zero touch security architecture, reducing security risks. In addition, it is designed as an open system and integrated with various elements and types of hardware through Dell’s end-to-end equipment portfolio.
With this platform, a manufacturer can, among other things, consolidate their technology stacks and take advantage of ongoing investments, as well as reduce the time it takes to deploy both assets and applications, a task that could take several months, until a few weeks.
Dell NativeEdge also employs automation, with the goal of streamlining operations at the edge and making it easy to deploy new applications from a central point quickly and securely.
Dell has also introduced Validated Design for Retail Edge, supported by intelligent automation from inVia Robotics. It is a solution that uses software and automation to help retailers improve picking, packing, shipping and delivery efficiencies, as it is ready to turn both warehouse and retail space into managed micro-fulfillment hubs.
It offers technology designed to make its administration simple at the points where data is generated. Thus, retailers can offer route searches and choose the most efficient orders at each point to improve order fulfillment times and workforce productivity. Both the Dell NativeEdge platform, which will reach customers, OEMs and partners in 50 countries; as Validated Design for Retail Edge, will be available starting next August.
