Did the CIA make Satoshi Nakamoto, creator of Bitcoin, disappear?

Satoshi Nakamoto may have suffered the wrath of the CIA. This is in all the theory of Pete Rizzo, editor of Bitcoin Magazine, who found traces of an old post on a forum dedicated to cryptocurrency. Above, a certain Gavin Andresen indicates that he has an appointment with the American intelligence agency to discuss the new digital currency. Following which Satoshi Nakamoto gave no sign of life.

The true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto is one of the internet’s deepest mysteries. Very active at the end of the 2000s, the creator of Bitcoin suddenly disappeared from the forums in 2011. Since then, many followers have tried to find his trace, but without success. Some claim to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto, like Craig Wright who took the opportunity to claim 48 billion euros, but no name yet unanimous today.

From then on, the craziest hypotheses circulated on the web. Pete Rizzo, publisher of Bitcoin Magazine, went there on his own proposal on April 27. On Twitter, the latter shared a screenshot of the bitcointalk.org forum. The post in question was written Gavin Andresen, one of the identified Bitcoin developers. Gavin Andresen says he was contacted by the CIAasking him to introduce them to this new technology.

What happened during the Bitcoin meeting with the CIA?

Gavin Andresen also clarifies that Bitcoin would be “already on the CIA’s radar” and is enthusiastic about presenting this opportunity to create a “best currency”. His meeting took place in June 2011. According to Pete Rozzo, this corresponds to the moment when Satoshi Nakamoto no longer gave any sign of life. What’s more, Gavin Andresen mentions some concerns about the date in his post, especially about the potential influence of the CIA in the development of Bitcoin.

For Pete Rozzo, there is no doubt: Gavin Andresen is Satoshi Nakamoto, and the CIA has decided to silence him once and for all for a reason still unknown to this day. However, some clues point in the opposite direction. First, Nakamoto’s last post on the forum is dated December 12, 2010. Following which, the creator of Bitcoin would have sent an email to his collaborators on April 26, 2011, the last known to date. The dates therefore do not correspond with Pete Rozzo’s theory. In other words, the mystery still remains intact.
