Today is Disney Plus Day, the world day during which The Walt Disney Company announces the news regarding all the productions of the Mickey Mouse House.
Starting today, the Disney + streaming catalog is enriched even more with new streaming titles from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and Star.
The news coming to Disney Plus
Subscribers will finally be able to stream 17 exclusive content on Disney +, including the new original drama series Dopesick – Declaration of Dependence with Michael Keaton, the Marvel Studios film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the documentary on the recent film experience of Billie Eilish’s concert Happier than Ever: Love Letter to Los Angeles – Making Of and the Disney family adventure film Jungle Cruise. The romantic and fantasy musical comedy of 2007 also debuts on the platform today As if by magic with Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey combining live-action and animation, and the all-new original short series The Tales of Olaf.

More titles coming to Disney +
During the months of November and December, Disney + in Italy will launch a new show or a new movie every week, including the new Marvel Studios series. Hawkeye which will arrive on the streaming platform starting November 24, The Last Duel by Ridley Scott available December 1st, Encanto exclusively from December 24th e The Rescue by National Geographic on December 31st.
Within the general entertainment brand Star, Disney + today also confirmed the arrival of The Big Leap – Another opportunity with Scott Foley and Piper Perabo starting December 1st e The Wonder Years which will make its platform debut on December 22nd. In & Of Itself – Secret identities, an intimate and powerful exploration of what it means to be and to be seen, will debut exclusively on Disney + on December 31st.
The award-winning documentary will also arrive on the streaming platform next year The Reason I Jump, based on the bestselling book by Naoki Higashida, and the Spanish crime thriller Antidisturbios: Riot Control Unit by Isabel Peña and Rodrigo Sorogoyen.

The original local productions
As part of The Walt Disney Company’s commitment to conceive, develop and make 60 original productions by 2024, Disney + has unveiled a new Spanish original series, bringing the total number of approved titles to 21, including 16 scripted series and five projects. unscripted from six countries including the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands.
In Spain, Balenciaga (working title) is officially confirmed as the first original series marking the start of their original production line. The original drama series tells the story of a man who dared to challenge his social status as the son of a seamstress and a fisherman. Using his natural talent, his constant work and his business acumen, Balenciaga will become one of the most important fashion designers of all time. Created by Lourdes Iglesias and 12-time Goya Award winners Jose Mari Goenaga, Jon Garaño and Aitor Arregi (The Endless Trench), the series is a story about the quest for identity while overcoming adversity and challenging social conventions in time constantly changing. Obsessed with his search for authorship, between the voices that judge his work and the loneliness that comes from being an artist, the public will witness the constant deconstruction and reconstruction of the great losses of this master: his life partner, his mother and his country.
The Disney live-action adventure series Nautilus has found its star and its main director. Shazad Latif (Star Trek: Discovery, The Pursuit of Love) will play the iconic role of Captain Nemo, the enigmatic Indian prince who steals a fantastic submarine from the East India Company and sets sail in search of adventures under the sea. Michael Matthews (Love and Monsters, Five Fingers From Marseilles) will direct this unprecedented coming-of-age story inspired by Jules Verne’s “Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea”.
In the romantic comedy thriller Wedding Season, Gavin Drea (Valhalla, Valerian and the city of a thousand planets) has been announced as the protagonist alongside Rosa Salazar, in the role of her back-and-forth lover Stefan. Salazar plays Katie, a perfect bride that audiences will meet on her wedding day surrounded by the corpses of her new husband and every member of her family.
Jade Harrison (Foundation, The Stranger) and Jamie Michie (Back To Life, Game of Thrones) will play the quiet Chief Inspector Metts and the fickle Donahue, respectively, the police detectives tasked with investigating the murders of Katie’s husband and her family. .
