Evnia 34M2C7600MV, a five-star debut

As we told you this morning, Philips completely reinvents its presence in the world of gaming with Evnia, a new brand with a very own and defined identity, which debuts with this Evnia 34M2C7600MV, and which we were able to test in its recent global presentation. Of course, as you can read in the news about it, we can actually say that what they have done has been to put honey on our lips, but making it clear that we will still have to wait a bit until we can start tasting it.

The first of the Evnia devices to hit the market will be the Evnia 34M2C7600MV screen, a high-end 34-inch curved screen, with specifications that will make it the object of desire for many, and that we will be able to acquire from the month of december. It is not a proposal for all pockets, that I will tell you ahead of time, well is part of the 7000 Series (along with the 8000, Evnia’s top of the range). You will understand it better, without a doubt, when you see its specifications.

It is clear, just looking at this list of specifications, that we are indeed talking about a high-end monitor, a proposal for those who want a truly immersive gaming experience, high performance and great image quality. To do this, we are faced with a curved VA LCD panel of 34 incheswith a widescreen aspect ratio (21:9) and a resolution of 3440 x 1440 dots who, for lighting, has opted for Mini LED, with 1,152 zone local dimming.

When it comes to performance, the Evnia 34M2C7600MV bets on Adaptive Sync for dynamic adjustment of your refresh rate, which can scale up to 165 hertz, and as for its response time, it is only 2.5 milliseconds (gray to gray). All this with a representation of the 100% sRGB space and 97% DCI-P3a contrast ratio 3000:1 and a brightness that, in HDR mode activated, can reach a peak of 1,400 nits.

As for technologies, the list is long and classy. To start with, this Evnia 34M2C7600MV includes a KVM switchto facilitate the use of both the monitor and the keyboard and mouse, as well as the usb hubwith two systems, between which we can change quickly and comfortably.

Another very noteworthy aspect, and which in my case I recognize causes me a special weakness, is the one provided by the Ambiglow lighting, based on the classic Philips Ambilight system, and which translates into a set of LEDs located on the two sides and on the upper and lower edges of the screen, and which emit light of a color tone similar to the one being displayed in that region of the screen. Thanks to this system, a much more immersive environment is generated (which in itself is superior to that of a flat monitor, since we are talking about a curved screen) and, additionally, it helps to avoid visual fatigue, since it substantially reduces the contrast between the screen and the environment.

As would be expected in a screen with these characteristics, we also find systems to avoid flashes, to which we add anti-reflective and anti-fog treatments and materials, a filter to reduce blue light, Picture-in-Picture mode (PiP), as well as the mode Smart Imagedesigned specifically to optimize the image in games.

The Evnia 34M2C7600MV will be the brand’s first device to hit the market. It will next december and, yes, as we anticipated at the beginning, we are not talking about a monitor for all pockets, since its price will be €2,069. However, we must not lose sight of the fact that we are talking about a top of the range, and that both its image quality and its performance, I can attest to this, are spectacular.
