If you have AirPods, there are some things you can do with them that you may not have known about. And it is that Apple headphones offer a large number of options available to help you in aspects that are not only related to music. If you want to know what these functions are, in this post we will explain some of them.
Wireless headphones have become the most requested audio device on the market. And it is that they are used with the mobile, computer, or any other electronic device, both to listen to music and videos and to make calls. And it is that the absence of cables offers a great freedom to be able to walk, cover, run or move around your house while using them.
The first thing you have to do is configure the quick actions, and that is that your AirPods allow you to perform quick actions by double tapping on the headphones. TYou have the possibility to change the options that come by default and choose the ones you prefer. In the same window where you can modify the name of the AirPods, you will see the section Press AirPods twice. By default, Siri is on the left and Next track on the right, but if you click on the option you have the possibility to modify it. You can choose between four possibilities: Siri, play/pause, next track and previous track. If you prefer, you can also disable the feature by selecting the No option.
The best features of AirPods
In addition to the quick functions, there are more things that you can change and modify to get the most out of them in your day to day.
- Announce who calls you: Thanks to AirPods, you don’t need to interact with your mobile phone to receive a call, since you can answer directly from your headphones. As convenient as this is, it does have one drawback: if you don’t see your smartphone’s screen, you don’t know who’s calling you. This problem has a very simple solution: you can set your AirPods to identify the caller. To do this, go to your iPhone’s Settings, tap Phone, and then choose the option you prefer in the Announce calls section: always, headset and car, or headset only.
- Listen live: With Live Listen, your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch can act as a microphone that sends sound to your AirPods, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, Powerbeats Pro, or Beats Fit Pro. Live Listen can help you hear a conversation on the go. noisy area, or even allowing you to hear someone speaking at the other end of a room.
- Take advantage of the advantages of Siri: You can take advantage of Siri functions to control music playback, raise or lower the volume, ask for directions to a place, call a contact, or check how much battery the AirPods have left, among many other options. Among its most interesting and comfortable functions is reading and writing messages. If you wish, Siri can read you the messages you receive on your iPhone, as well as write a WhatsApp message to a contact. You just have to ask the assistant, saying something like “Hey Siri, write a WhatsApp to Álvaro saying that I will be late”.
