Fintech Unconference Madrid 2023 will bring together the most select of the sector, on June 28

On June 28, the Fintech Unconference Madrid 2023 will be held in Madrid, a summit of the Fintech industry that will be attended by government members of five continents, representatives from 25 countries and more than 250 international guests.

Spain, third country in Europe and sixth in the world in number of active fintechs

The number of fintech active in Spain is 977, a figure that places the country in the Top 3 in the industry for Europe, only behind the United Kingdom and Germany, and within the Top 10 worldwide, where it occupies the sixth position, behind only the US, UK, India, Canada and Germany. Regarding the maturity index, Spain has 21 active Fintechs per one million inhabitants, according to the Fintech Global Vision 2023 report by Finnovating.

The sectors of payments, lending, embedded finance and crypto&blockchain They were the ones that experienced the greatest growth in our country in 2022.

In addition, Spain ranks second in Europe, only behind the United Kingdom, and fifth in the world -ahead of countries such as Germany, Brazil or France- in the number of local Fintechs (of Spanish origin based in Spain), with 664 active companies at the moment.
