On April 30, Francisco Hortiguela left the general direction of Ametic, the voice of the digital industry in Spain.
Hortigüela, assumed the general direction of the association on May 1, 2019, so it has been exactly four years in office. In these four years the association has been the protagonist of the great digital transformation that society, economy and industry they are living. In this period, the employers’ association has grown in representation and number of associates, currently exceeding 300.
Francisco Hortigüela, CEO of Ametic until a few days ago, has indicated that “Ametic, is a very important part of my history, I have lived it as an Associate, representing two large companies such as Philips and Samsung, and as a member of the executive committee before reaching the general management. The Ametic that I have known these last four years, from the inside, is very different from the one I knew as an Associate, I dare say that Ametic is perhaps one of the best associations in the country, if not the best”.
Hortiguela added “These four years have been excellent for me, I have enjoyed it intensely, although we have also had difficult moments, especially at the beginning when we came from a complicated situation, which fortunately today is history. Four years that I wouldn’t trade for anything.”

Ametic will shortly announce the name of the person that will happen Francisco Hortigüela as general director of the association.
