While Tesla is making great efforts to reduce its production costs, Elon Musk’s company has just announced new price reductions on each of the electric car models in its catalog.
At the beginning of the year, Tesla had hit hard on the electric market by significantly lowering the prices of its Model 3 and Model Y, and the vehicles are again entitled to a new reduction. However, this time, all the models of the American manufacturer benefit from it.
The top-of-the-range Tesla Model S sedan is now available from $84,990 in its Dual Motor All-Wheel Drive version, i.e. $5,000 less than previously. The Plaid model also drops from $109,990 to $104,990. The manufacturer’s large SUV, the Model X, also benefits from the same reduction of 5,000 euros, and therefore now starts at 94,990 dollars, while it takes 104,990 dollars to afford the Plaid version.
Model 3 and Y are always getting cheaper
It is especially the reductions on the Model 3 and the Model Y that should delight consumers, since they represent the major part of Tesla’s sales. The automotive giant has finally launched the Model Y with all-wheel drive across the Atlantic, at a price of 49,990 dollars. It is also likely that it will be equipped with the company’s new 4680 batteries. For their part, the Model Y Long Range and Performance are both entitled to a reduction of 2000 dollars, thus dropping to 52,990 dollars and 56,990 dollars, respectively.
The Model 3, the company’s least expensive car, is getting even more affordable. Tesla has lowered prices by $1,000 on all trims. The electric sedan is therefore marketed from 41,990 dollars, much less than the 44,990 euros in France. Better still, in the State of Oregon, it is possible to buy the vehicle at only 25,490 dollars by accumulating various local aids.
For the moment, these new price reductions have not yet been passed on to prices in Francebut we will obviously keep you informed if Tesla decides to reduce its prices with us.
