Gal Gadot will play Grimilde in Disney’s live action Snow White

Wonder Woman star, Gal Gadot, will soon join the Mickey Mouse family, but not as a superheroine or a Disney princess. Gal Gadot will in fact play the Evil Queen Grimilde, in the upcoming live-action adaptation of snow-white!

Arguably one of Disney’s most sinister and scary villains, the Evil Queen played by Gadot will join Rachel Zegler’s previously announced character (West Side Story), who will play Snow White instead. We know that Marc Webb will be directing the film (The Amazing Spider-Man, 500 Days of Summer), so the ingredients for not seeing a poisoned apple arrive at the cinema seem to be all there.

Marc Platt is the producer of the film along with Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the songwriting duo of La La Land, The Greatest Showman And Dear Evan Hansen. Both said they were ready to write new songs and music for the film, which we can’t wait to hear.

The original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs cartoon, based on the famous tale by the Brothers Grimm, was released in 1938 and was Disney’s first animated film (becoming a huge success for the studio). Will it be the same for the live action film too? What do you think? Let us know via a comment below!
