Google Photos is one of the best options currently available on the market to always have a backup copy of all the photos we take with our mobile device at hand, a platform that allows us to store up to 15 GB of images and video and that, in addition , includes cloud editing options, so it is not necessary to use third-party applications if we want to give it a personal touch.
Although it is true that the number of functions that it offers us is the same that we can find in dedicated applications, if what we are looking for are basic and simple functions, it is more than enough. To the large number of functions, we have to add a new one that allows us to edit our photos as if we were a Photoshop professional.
The Pixel range of phones include a number of features via the Google Photos app, features that aren’t available to the rest of the devices on the market at least initially, as the search giant eventually brings them to the mainstream. other users, although sometimes, only to those who pay the subscription to Google One, Google’s storage platform.
One of the last functions that is already available via web Through Google Photos and for all users who pay a subscription to Google One is the ability to edit photos in the cloud to give them a professional touch in less than 5 seconds.
These new functions are available for all the photos that we have stored in Google Photos. As in the version for mobile devices, these functions are available when we click on the button Editinside the section Suggestions. The new functions that are already available via the web through this section are:
- Dynamic. If the image has the background out of focus, it shows it in focus.
- Portrait. Scans the silhouette of the person shown to blur the background.
- Improve. Modify the colors to make them more vivid.
- color pop. Replaces the background color of the image keeping that of the person or people that appear.
- B/W portrait. Converts the image to grayscale.
These functions were already available for Google One users but only through the Google Photos application, so it is appreciated that these functions have reached the web version to be able to work with the images on a larger screen and check if the final result adapts to what we are looking for.
Google Photos has announced the availability of this new feature for all Google One users, however, it is not yet available in some countries, such as Spain, where at the time of publishing this feature, the feature is available. only through Android devices, not via the web, so it will be a matter of hours before it is available.
