The C1b3rWall project was born in 2018 in the National Police School with the aim of creating a collaborative environment between public administrations and private companies, with the aim of creating training actions on cybersecurity. Now it has become one of the most important cybersecurity training events in the world, each year they break attendance records in previous editions, and each year they have more high-level presentations.
What have we found in C1b3rWall 2023?
In this edition of the Congress, we have had presentations and also high-level workshops. We must bear in mind that the profile of those attending this type of event is usually professionals from the private ICT sector, ICT professionals from the public sector, as well as State Security Forces and Bodies, and even national and international Armed Forces. Finally, there is also a large number of attendees who come from Universities, undergraduate students and even professional training.
The level of the talks ranges from general public, who wants to learn about cybersecurity in general, such as how to deal with scams in general and cryptocurrencies in particular, as well as round tables where cybersecurity in general is discussed with the challenges, opportunities and responsibilities, etc. There are also much more advanced talks, which are focused on CISO, SOC manager and cybersecurity analysts. Therefore, in this congress we have both talks for a general public that is just starting out in this world of cybersecurity, as well as people who already have a lot of knowledge and want to learn more about it.
It’s only been a few hours since you left and we can’t wait for you to come back again.

In this Congress we have had presentations and workshops simultaneously in a total of 12 classes, the auditorium and the conference room, with the objective that the public decide which ones they want to attend from all the ones we have, in this way, it is covered a large number of specialized in the world of cybersecurity.
In this third edition, many topics related to artificial intelligence have also been addressed, and it is a topic where we have significant cybersecurity risks, as we have already explained to you in RedesZone. Of course, there has also been space for both virtual reality and augmented reality, which already affect collective security and whose irruption in the digitization processes is a great challenge.
Closing of the Congress by Grande-Marlaska
The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, closed yesterday the third edition of C1b3rWall at the Ávila National Police School. He has highlighted that in the world of cybersecurity we are all essential, in order to maintain high levels of technological security we must all be partners and co-responsible for our own security. The minister recalled that the digital world is not only used for cybercrime, but that it has become a fertile field for very hostile actions such as terrorism, human trafficking, organized crime, as well as child sexual exploitation, attacks on intellectual property and hate incidents against vulnerable groups.
Fernando Grande-Marlaska finished his speech, highlighting that all these threats are increasingly sophisticated and complex, and force all institutions, both public and private, to make an added effort to acquire the necessary preparation and be able to neutralize these risks. Francisco Pardo Piqueras, Director of the National Police, was also at the closing of this Congress, days before he stressed that human trafficking, terrorism and cybercrime are priority objectives of international cooperation such as EUROPOL.
