If you are thinking of changing your iPhone, in this post we are going to show you a way in which you can get a discount if you give your old phone to Apple for recycling. This is possible thanks to the Apple Trade In program, and here we are going to see which iPhone models are included in this program and how much money could we take for delivering our current device.
Apple Trade In to buy a cheaper iPhone
If we go to a second-hand store, hand over the device and they give us money for it (explained very briefly), the dynamics of the Apple Trade In program do not work in the same way. It does not consist, therefore, of us taking our iPhone to an Apple Store, having it valued and giving us cash.
In this case we are talking about that, if we have an iPhone and we want to renew it in an Apple Store, the company “buys” your iPhone and that amount will be deducted from the purchase price of the new phone. You hand over your iPhone and they give you a discount to buy another one at a lower price, and thus not have to pay all of what it costs. But not all iPhones are valid for Apple, within the Apple TradeIn program. In this case, as of the date of this post, we can deliver from an iPhone 7 to an iPhone 13 Pro Max, if we want to get a discount on the purchase of our new iPhone. The devices and prices that Apple is going to give us are the following:

- iPhone 7 Plus: Up to 60 euros
- iPhone 8: Up to 85 euros
- iPhone 8 Plus: Up to 115 euros
- iPhone X: Up to 130 euros

What iPhone models can have a discount on the purchase?
In the same way that Apple has a list of iPhone models that it buys, it is also important to keep in mind which iPhone models we can buy at a discount. In the case of the Apple Trade In program, we will be able to deliver an older device to buy one of the following models:
- iPhone 14 Pro Max
- iPhone 14 Pro
- iPhone 13mini
- iPhone 13
- iPhone SE
- iPhone 12
Refurbished models, however, cannot receive a discount for turning in an old iPhone. To obtain the purchase discount, we will have to go to the bottom section of the cart until we see Apple Trade In. We will have to select the phone model, the storage capacity and answer the question of whether the equipment works correctly. In addition, we must enter the serial number and, once it is verified, we will have to follow the steps indicated to send our phone to Apple.
