Whether we are studying or working, we all need a vacation, even if it is only for a few days to disconnect from the daily routine. It is not necessary to go far to rest, although if our economy allows us we can go to the other part of the world. But, as probably will not be the case, if we want to travel saving good money, then we show you how to achieve it.
The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, launched on June 15 a promotional campaign focused on young people between 18 and 30 years old, which allows us to save up to 90% on the price of train tickets and bus lines state and that we can use not only to travel through Spain, but also to leave Europe. The only requirement to be able to take advantage of this State aid is to make the trip between June 15 and September 15.
The discounts of this plan of the Ministry of Transport vary depending on the type of transport that we are going to use.
- 50% discount on tickets High speed and conventional long distance trains (with a maximum discount of 30 euros) and train tickets ahead without a maximum discount amount.
- 50% discount on pass interrail
- 90% discount on medium distance trains conventional, metric gauge trains and state bus lines.
Requirements to travel almost free
The first requirement is the one that we have discussed in the previous section, that of planning our trip between June 15 and September 15. The second is to be 18 years old or to be over this year and be less than 30, that is, to have been born between December 1, 1993 and December 31, 2005. The second requirement that we must also meet to request this aid is to have Spanish nationality from a country that is part of the European Union with legal residence in our country.

The first thing we must do to request this aid and reduce a large part of the cost of our vacation ticket is to access the website of the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda in the section Young Summer through this link. Unlike other aids, it is not necessary to use an electronic certificate, although if we have one, we can use it just like the Cl@ve system.
Once we have made the request, we will have to wait a minimum of 24 hours to receive a response indicating whether or not we are eligible to use this aid for young people between 18 and 30 years of age. If we are lucky and can opt for the promotion, the same email will show a codecode that we must enter when purchasing tickets to travel during our vacations.
