She prides herself today on having put an end to the activity of 2Embed, a pirated content library featuring 300,000 titles to illegal streaming platforms. The economic model of this service is based on the “Pirate-as-a-service” which allows operators of illegal sites to save themselves the chore of hosting the content themselves. US authorities had 2Embed in their sights for a long time. The concerted effort of the United States and the EU has put pressure on the Vietnamese government.

As a result, the 2Embed service is now officially closed. On the 457 streaming sites using 2Embed as the exclusive source of content, 302 is now unavailable, offline, or devoid of content. These sites received a total of 2.756 billion visits over the past two years. Note, however, that this little game of cat and mouse is likely to last a very long time. 2Embed is resurrected, and it already shows how to access its content again on its homepage.
