Instagram: your profile will soon be invaded by advertising

After the historic drop in its turnover, Instagram is looking for new ways to bail out its coffers. Unsurprisingly, this will go through advertising. On its site dedicated to advertisers, the social network presented new promotional solutions that will soon integrate its service… and user profiles.

If you’re already tired of seeing all the ads on Instagram, you’re not at the end of your trouble. Indeed, rare are the tabs still spared by the sharp turn, to say the least, undertaken by Meta in recent years. Publications of brands in the news feed, sponsored stories, not to mention the influencers who do not bother to warn when they are promoting a product… You can no longer find original content from ordinary users.

And it is not ready to stop. On its site for advertisers, Instagram has indeed published a publication presenting new advertising solutions that will soon integrate its application. Since there is not much space left where the latter have not settled, the social network has decided to invade them. At this very moment, the platform is testing the addition of advertising on the profile of users.

Instagram will soon display ads absolutely everywhere

“Profile feed ads give advertisers the opportunity to easily grow their audience using the strengths of the existing feed, while giving people the same personalized advertising experience they enjoy on their main feed.” writes Instagram, which is not short of ideas, since the profiles will not be the only ones to soon receive advertising. It will also make its arrival in the Explore tab, mixing with search results.

These additions are no coincidence. This summer, Meta’s social networks saw their turnover fall for the first time in their history. Faced with the ever-growing threat of TikTok, Mark Zuckerberg’s company is therefore seeking to maximize its income, while reassuring its investors. In other words, users are not at the end of their surprises.
