Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G4 +, a light and powerful laptop

The Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G4 + is presented as one of Lenovo’s most interesting novelties at CES 2022. This computer can be configured with a 14-inch screen with a 2,880 x 1800 pixel resolution, has a 90 Hz refresh rate and use the new Intel Alder Lake processors from the chip giant, specifically the versions with 45-watt TDP (H series).

At the design level, the Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G4 + uses a chassis finished in aluminum, has a clearly minimalist approach and is very light and compact, since its thickness is only 16 mm and has a starting weight, in its base configuration, from 1.42 kilograms. With these credentials, there is no doubt that the Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G4 + is an ultralight computer, but also very powerful.

Its configuration options include several options, such as the ability to mount up to 32GB of LPDDR5 memory, a perfect complement for Alder Lake processors to realize their full potential, its up to 2 TB of storage capacity in a high performance PCIE Gen4 SSD, and its support of efficient but powerful dedicated graphics solutions, since it supports up to a NVIDIA RTX 2050 Mobile, which uses the Ampere architecture and is equipped with 2,048 shaders and 4 GB of GDDR6.

The Lenovo ThinkBook 14 G4 + is not a laptop to play, it is a team to work with, and thanks to that RTX 2050 Mobile it is able to offer good performance in professional applications that depend on the GPU. It also has dedicated hardware for speed up ray tracing and artificial intelligence.

Regarding the connectors, it includes:

  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C.
  • 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A.
  • 1 x USB 2.0.
  • 1 x HDMI 2.0b.
  • 1 x Ethernet.
  • 1 x 3.5mm audio.
  • 1 x microSD card reader.

It has Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5 connectivity, it can mount a battery of up to 62 Wh, a front camera with FHD and infrared resolution and it has a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button. It will be available in April with a base price of 839 dollars.
