However, Miyazaki prefers not to go into details about what it is, or even when this new project will be revealed. Rumors suggest this game could be a new Armored Corea franchise dear to a portion of players that hasn’t received a new title since 2013.

The supposed Armored Core, by the way, is not the only project under development at FromSoftware. With the growth of the studio and expansion of its workforce, several games are in the works by the hands of different directors, according to Miyazaki.

“I was able to create a big title like Elden Ring because of the expansion of resources and the growth of the company, but from now on, I think we will leave the projects in the hands of others. [diretores]. In fact, several titles are being directed by people other than me, and it’s time to increase the number of developers.”said the president of FromSoftware.

No wonder, the Japanese developer revealed a new recruitment site this Friday (24), encouraging interested people to apply for various positions at the studio.

What about Elden Ring…?

Elden Ring was also approached in the interview and Miyazaki confirmed that the game will receive new updates. And while he didn’t mention any expansions or any other DLC content, the Souls franchise director leaves a gap for a possible sequel.

“Each case is different”says the president of FromSoftware. “There are advantages to both producing a sequel and working on a new title, so I would like to proceed as appropriate.”. For now, Elden Ring remains one of the biggest hits of the year, with more than 13 million copies sold in one month.
