As you know, Huawei is trying its best to resist and survive in the face of US sanctions. The year 2021 was marked by a vertiginous drop in the turnover of the company, which plummeted by 28.9% in 2021. Of course, we hope for the brand that 2022 will bode well.

Anyway, the manufacturer does not dismantle and continues to launch ambitious and promising products, like this P50 Pocket, a foldable flip-flop smartphone that risks hurting the Galaxy Z Flip 3, its main one. competitor. And after launching the P50 and P50 Pro, its first smartphones under HarmonyOS, the brand was expected to launch the Mate 50 and 50 Pro, the direct successors of the Mate 40 and 40 Pro.

Traditionally, Huawei launches its new Mate in the fall, but ultimately, the Shenzhen firm would have changed its mind. Faced with the difficulties caused by the pandemic and by the American sanctions, many analysts and leakers have assured that Huawei has chosen to postpone the presentation of the two smartphones in 2022. And even if we had not had official confirmation from the manufacturer, 2021 actually passed without seeing the Mate 50 and 50 Pro.

Nevertheless, the brand came out of its silence. Indeed, Derek Yu, president of Huawei CBG in Central and Eastern Europe, Northern Europe and Canada, confirmed that the Mate 50 range will indeed be launched in 2022 worldwide. In addition, the executive clarified that future smartphones will ship HarmonyOS. Moreover, there is a good chance that the Mate 50 and 50 Pro take advantage of the latest version of the in-house operating system.

Indeed and according to the latest rumors, Huawei should present HarmonyOS 3.0 in July 2022. A date that corresponds well to the release window of the Mate 50, fixed during the second half of 2022. HarmonyOS 3.0 is already available in a preview version for developers in China. According to initial feedback, the manufacturer’s innovations mainly focus on three areas: system architecture, the “Super Terminal” and the unique development of multi-terminal deployment.
