MCPRO Pills (CXXXV): MLOps, Avaya Interview, Labor Day Consultants

There are many technologies that are beginning to gain significant traction in companies. One of the most interesting is MLOps, an application development and delivery methodology that combines the advantages offered by the DevOps methodology, with the power of Machine Learning. Explaining exactly what it is and what it can do for your company, this week we start a new edition of our MCPRO Pills.

However, we will tell you much more, such as the fact that the main consultancies in our country want to do everything possible to extend the working day of their employees to 12 hours, or that less than 30% of Spaniards are happy with the digital services offered by Administrations. This week we have also interviewed Javier Velasco, country manager of Avaya in Spain and we offer you the best tools to recover your equipment if you have problems. Let’s start!

MLOps, almost everything you need to know

MLOps is a discipline that tries to unify the development of machine learning systems, and their deployment, with the aim of standardizing and optimizing the continuous delivery of high-performance models that are in production.

All this by “borrowing” DevOps principles, but instead of achieving application development through an iterative approach as in DevOps, what is achieved with MLOps is, using the same principles, to bring machine learning models to production.

Xavier Velasco (Avaya Country Manager for Spain): «The cloud has positioned itself as a facilitator of business transformation»

In recent years, everything related to the customer experience, both on the side of the final consumer and the employees of many companies, has changed remarkably. In the latter case, the changes are due not only to the transformation of the job and its model.

Also to the application of Artificial Intelligence to the customer experience, which makes their life and work easier, as well as their security. But also to the migration of communications and many work processes to the cloud. To delve into all this, and also learn more about the point at which we find ourselves regarding security in communications, we have spoken with Javier Velasco, Avaya Country Manager for Spain.

Recover Your Computer Like a Pro: The Best Rescue Tools

A computer that won’t boot or doesn’t boot as expected is one of the problems that system technicians have to deal with from time to time. In some cases, the problem may be caused by a misconfiguration in the BIOS, or a virus has found its way into the system.

In other cases, there may be problems with the disk partitions or the user may have “accidentally” done something they shouldn’t. Having the right tools to bring affected computers “back to life” is essential.

The big consultants claim that the working day is 12 hours

When we think of poor working conditions and labor slavery, many of us think of sectors such as hospitality or agriculture. But there are also, and bloody, in the big consultants.

Or at least, they want there to be, and to legalize what they already practice, behind closed doors, in many of them: 12-hour working days. And that they be carried out as the company wants. In other words, when the consultant in question feels like it, it will be enough for them to tell their workers that they have to work twelve hours. Because yes, without any consideration, and unilaterally.

Do you know how to get the most out of your private cloud?

In recent years, the private cloud concept has started to gain traction in businesses. Especially in those that, although they are convinced of the undoubted advantages offered by the public cloud, have high requirements for security, compliance and privacy of their data.

But whereas in the past it was costly and impractical to get cloud infrastructure up and running on premises, private clouds today are proven to bring as much or more speed and flexibility to on-premises workloads than the public cloud, while also, are capable of meeting the most demanding security and control requirements.
