In late 2002, Apple struck a deal with Scott Z. Burns to bring Apple TV + a climate change related series, a series of which some details have finally begun to be revealed, such as the name and some of the protagonists of this new series.
According to Variety, the series is titled Extrapolations and will have the participation of Meryl streep (Little can we say this renowned actress that is not known), Gemma Chan (Captain Marvel) and David schwimmer (Ross in the Friends series).
The rest of the cast is made up of Sienna Miller (Manhattan dead end), Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones), Tahar Rahim (The Mauritanian),Matthew Rhys (The Americans, Perry Mason), Daveed Diggs (Blind point, Hamilton) and Adarsh Gourav (White Tiger).
Although many details of this new series are unknown, for now the characters that some of the protagonists will play have been leaked from this series:
- Sienna Miller plays a character named Rebecca Shearer, a marine biologist.
- Kit Harrington plays Nick Bilton, the CEO of a industrial giant.
- Tahar Rahim plays Ezra Haddad, a man who is struggling with the shock of memory loss.
- Mathew Rhys is Junior, a real estate agent.
- Daveed Diggs plays a rabbi named Marshall Zucker located in South Florida.
- Adarsh Gourav, plays a character named Gaurav, a rental driver
- Gemma Chan plays Natasha Alper, a single mother and «microfinance banker.
- David Schwimmer plays a character named Harris Goldblatt, a man with a teenage daughter.
The role that Merryl Streep will play remains a complete mystery.
The first season of the series it will be composed of 8 episodes who will examine how the impending changes on the planet affect love, faith, work and family in people’s lives. All episodes will be interconnected in one way or another.
