Microsoft gives you yet another reason not to install Windows 11 if you don’t meet the requirements

Installing Windows 11 on a PC that does not meet all the minimum requirements is possible, as long as we force the installation from scratch of said operating system. It will be necessary for us to make a backup copy of our data so as not to lose it, and although it is confirmed that said operating system normally works without problems, as long as we have at least 8 GB of RAM and a quad-core CPU, admittedly it’s a risky move.

Microsoft has not said anything official about it, but when installing Windows 11 on a PC that does not meet the minimum requirements of said operating system, always it is possible that we run out of support in the medium or long term, and if this happens it is clear that we will have a major problem. For this reason, I directly recommend you not to install it if you do not meet the requirements, it is better to continue on Windows 10.

In this sense, Microsoft has given us one more reason not to install Windows 11 if our PC does not meet the requirements, since it is displaying notices in the form of watermarks that literally say that our PC does not meet the requirements. That mark stays permanently, which makes it very annoying. That message invites us to go to “Settings” for more information, but in the end all we get is to go to a website where Microsoft recommends going back to Windows 10.

It seems that the company is very serious with this watermark, and this has sown doubts about the future of updates on computers that have installed Windows 11 without meeting the minimum requirements. With all this on the table, I think things are quite clear, if you don’t meet all the requirements, continue with Windows 10, it’s a safe bet and it’s also an operating system that will be supported until October 2025.
