Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family, Microsoft’s newest subscription, is set to arrive in new countries soon. The offer to share with up to 5 friends or family members could be launched in France in the coming weeks.
Last summer, Microsoft unveiled a new family subscription level for its Xbox Game Pass. The company has since expanded the Xbox Game Pass family plan to multiple countries, including Chile, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, and Sweden.
This new offer is for those who want multiple users on their account to take advantage of Xbox Game Pass. It is similar to the Nintendo Switch Online family plan which allows a user to add others to their subscription plan to share the service. The good news is that new users will soon be able to take advantage of it.
The Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family is coming to the United States, soon France?
According to a screenshot posted by Twitter user @Jawmuncher, the service is now only available through a dashboard ad in the US, promising to take advantage of a few perks for a monthly fee of $39.95. Since the user lives in Costa Rica, it is possible that the price was not automatically displayed in US dollars, but rather in New Zealand dollars.
It would therefore correspond to a fare of 25 US dollars, which would be fairer given the prices that had leaked on previous reports. Indeed, we knew that the new family offer would cost less than 5 euros per person, and that it would probably come out around 21.99 euros with us.
It should be clarified that this is the Ultimate service, which includes the Xbox Live Gold needed to play online, cloud gaming and the basic Xbox Game Pass offer. Given that its deployment in the United States seems imminent, it is very likely that the family subscription will arrive as quickly at home in France.
Here are the benefits listed for the subscription plan:
- Ultimate benefits shared between 5 friends and family members
- Include friends and family members outside of your household
- Enjoy hundreds of games together, including new ones from day one.
- Each account has its own history, achievements, gamertag, and saves.
- Simultaneously play on console, PC and Cloud
- With games being added all the time, there’s always something new for everyone.
