The Redmond giant has released a new firmware update focused on Surface Go 2 that makes important fixeswhich makes it an essential patch for any user of such a device.
Surface Go 2 is an ultra-light and compact two-in-one that is intended for front-line professionals who need to stay productive on the go, and who need the performance and capabilities of a Windows 10 (upgradable to Windows 11)-based PC, but can’t lug around heavy and bulky devices.
With this new firmware update, identified by date (June 2022), Microsoft has confirmed the resolution of a critical security vulnerabilityalthough he did not want to go into details, we imagine that in order not to give clues that contribute to generating possible attacks that try to take advantage of it on unpatched devices.

Microsoft has confirmed that it intends to continue to support Surface Go 2 through firmware updates until May 6, 2024. Surface Go, the first generation model, will end its support in August of this year, although it will continue to receive software updates, as is evident.
The Surface Go 2 is available, in its base configuration, with a dual-core, quad-thread Pentium Gold 4425Y, comes with 4GB of RAM, and has a 64GB storage drive. The upper configuration is more interesting, which mounts a Core m3, 8 GB of RAM and has a 128 GB SSD. This setting is downgraded to 647 euros.
