MINISFORUM EliteMini CR50 is a new release from a company specialized in compact computers, but with enough performance to motorize consumer computer desks, offices or living rooms for uses such as home theater. It is the case of this multipurpose team.
In a mini-PC, the CPU is the main component and here we find a well-known development because it is the basis of the custom SoC of the Play Station 5. A Ryzen 4700S with 8 cores and 16 threads of native processing, 8 Mbytes of L3 cache and a maximum frequency of 4 GHz, which AMD offers to manufacturers to build this type of equipment.
The graphic section is also well covered by a GPU that, without being the latest generation, is a solvent solution even for games up to a certain level, since it is the dedicated one. Radeon RX 550. The internal hardware is completed with 16 Gbytes of RAM and solid state drives with 256 or 512 Gbytes of storage capacity. If storage is optional and can be selected, the memory is soldered to the board and can only be the 16 Gbytes mentioned.
The CR50 is somewhat larger than a mini-PC is used to at 205mm long, 192mm wide and 86mm high. In any case it can be placed anywhere.

MINISFORUM markets this mini-PC in three versions. The basic one costs 679 dollars and it does not have an operating system or storage unit. The other two versions are defined by their storage capacity of 256 or 512 Gbytes with a respective price of 729 and 759 dollars. It also pre-installs the Windows 10 operating system. The computer can be upgraded to Windows 11 for free.
