The MINISFORUM NUCG5 is a mini PC that adopts the classic NUC format, although it stands out for having a design that is out of the ordinary, as we can see in the cover image. This equipment has a chassis finished in carbon fiberand mounts a grill at the top that facilitates the outlet of hot air to the outside.
Right through that grate we can see that the MINISFORUM NUCG5 has a large fan located on top of an aluminum radiator that, in turn, is attached to a contact base that allows heat to be transferred from the processor and the iGPU (integrated graphics). The processor that mounts this mini PC is an Intel Core i5-1240P, which has a high-performance quad-core Golden Cove CPU and 8 high-efficiency Gracemont cores.
In total, that processor has 12 cores and 16 threads. High-performance cores run at a maximum of 4.4 GHz in turbo mode, and high-efficiency cores go up to 3.3 GHz in turbo mode. This chip adds 12MB L3 cache and it has an Intel Iris Xe iGPU with 80 execution units that can go up to 1.3 GHz in turbo mode.
The base configuration of the MINISFORUM NUCG5 features 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. Its price is 689 dollars, which in exchange are, without taxes, €641.77. The top model has 32 GB of RAM and keeps the 512 GB SSD. Its price is 749 dollars, 697.66 euros to change without including taxes.
