New members on the Semrush Board of Directors

The platform, Semrush, has named Anna Baird and Steven Aldrich members of its board as independent non-executive directors, since Brian Mulroy as the next chief financial officer (CFO).

Baird brings more than 30 years of experience working with Silicon Valley companies to scale teams and fuel their growth. She was a partner of KPMG for more than 17 years, before becoming a Senior Vice President at McAfee, supporting leadership in global controls, enterprise risk management, and its acquisition by Intel. Subsequently, the leadership held various C-level positions at private technology startups experiencing tremendous growth, most recently she was CRO in Outreach. Currently, he is also on the SeatGeek board.

Steven Aldrich also joins the Semrush board, bringing nearly 30 years of experience in the technology industry. He spent 12 years at Intuit in various leadership roles and held CEO positions at Posit Science and Outright. He also spent seven years in GoDaddy, the last three as chief product officer, helping grow the company from 10 million to 18 million total customers, and from $1 billion in annual revenue to over $3 billion in revenue. Mr. Aldrich is also currently on the Boards of Avantax and Xero Limited.

New CFO for Semrush

In addition to the two Board of Directors appointments, Semrush also announces the addition of Brian Mulroy executive leadership team as the company’s next chief financial officer. Mulroy has a broad business background with more than 20 years of financial leadership experience at market-leading technology companies. His previous position was that of Senior Vice President of Finance at Microsoft. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at Nuance Communications and 12 at Progress Software.

In Nuance Communications, Mulroy built and expanded a world-class finance organization that provided financial, analytical, and operational leadership for multiple sales and finance systems implementations, more than 30 acquisitions, more than $1 billion in divestitures and business segment restructurings, and multiple initiatives to launch new products to the market and the transition of companies to the cloud. Mr. Mulroy was also the CFO of Nuance Communications during its sale to Microsoft.
