OnePlus 10: Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+, 150W fast charging, we already know everything about the smartphone

OnePlus is finally preparing to launch a new high-end smartphone from its new 10 series, which currently has only one smartphone: the OnePlus 10 Pro. It will soon be joined by a standard model, more affordable, but above all more powerful.

Unlike previous years, the Chinese manufacturer did not introduce a OnePlus 10 when it launched its OnePlus 10 Pro in China in January and then in Europe in March. Fans have therefore been waiting for several months for the arrival of a more affordable model, but its launch could now be imminent.

According to information from OnLeaks, OnePlus is working on a OnePlus 10, and its technical data sheet is already known. According to OnLeaks, the OnePlus 10 could even this year be more powerful than its big brother, since it would be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor which should arrive this summer. The latter would be engraved by TSMC and not by Samsung, and should therefore be both more powerful than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, but above all less subject to the heating problems of current high-end Android smartphones.

The OnePlus 10 will charge at full speed

OnLeaks also revealed that the OnePlus 10 will differ from the Pro model on fast charging. According to him, the OnePlus 10 will take advantage of the 150 W fast charging that has just been introduced on the new Chinese OnePlus Ace. However, it is currently unknown whether the smartphone will be compatible with fast wireless charging. The 4800mAh battery could ignore this technology to reduce the cost of the smartphone.

The OnePlus 10 will be significantly larger than its predecessor, the OnePlus 9. It will be equipped with a large 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate. It could also adopt LTPO technology, although this could be ruled out for production cost reasons.

On the photo side, the OnePlus 10 will bet on a configuration with three cameras. We will find a main sensor of 50 MP, probably Sony’s new IMX866, a 16 MP ultra wide-angle sensor as well as a 2 MP macro sensor. The selfie part will be managed by a 32 MP sensor. Finally, OnLeaks tells us that the OnePlus 10 could be the first high-end smartphone from OnePlus that will not use the famous Alert Slideryet present on all the other references.
