Óscar Vilda is the new CEO of Finetwork

The Spanish fiber and mobile company, Finetwork, has appointed Óscar Vilda as the new CEO of the company. From this position, Vilda will give continuity to the business strategy of the company telecommunications and will boost its growth, after consolidating itself as a benchmark operator at the national level, in just four years.

Vilda has More than 25 years of experience in management positions in companies in the telecommunications and consumer goods sector. Before joining Finetwork, he was General Sales Director at Orange and General Director of the Retail Business Unit at Vodafone. In addition, Vilda will bring her international experience, having spent the last five years in Qatar as Starlink Board Member and Ooredoo Qatar Executive Director, where she worked in the preparation of the Qatari Telco Ooredoo for the Soccer World Cup.

With this appointment, Finetwork will strengthen its focus on the client, as well as the digitization of the company, two of the factors that Vilda himself points out as essential for the development of the telecommunications sector. In addition, his experience in the FMCG sector will also be key in order to promote the company’s innovation at the customer experience level.

My incorporation into Finetwork is the result of the strong ambition of the Company’s shareholders to become the fourth largest operator in the market, which has been one of the most attractive factors in this project. The objective is to give a boost to the business strategy, from the focus on the client and digitization”, affirms Óscar Vilda, CEO of Finetwork.

With respect to Manuel Hernandez, who until now had played the role of CEO, Vilda points out that “Manuel is an essential and irreplaceable person in the implementation of the company’s plans and he will continue with a first level role within the organization.”

Finetwork account currently with more than 900,000 customers throughout Spain and with a staff of more than 300 workers, distributed among its headquarters in Madrid, Alicante and Elda. The company was born with a regional focus just 8 years ago and made the national leap in 2019, achieving a turnover of 122 million euros in 2022. With its ‘Smart cost’ company concept, the objective in this new stage is to boost its growth and become the fourth largest operator in the market.
