Last week, Sony removed the functionality that allowed PlayStation users to know when games are leaving the catalog, and the manufacturer does not seem to have decided to bring it back. In response, players began to list these titles themselves on Reddit and social networks, for lack of another means at their disposal.
Sony wanted to create the event by launching its new PlayStation Plus, a barely (not at all) hidden attempt to compete with the Xbox Game Pass, but it seems that all the firm has managed to accomplish is to stir up the anger of the players. Indeed, there is no shortage of complaints since the transition to the new subscription. When it’s not the lack of games in the catalog that makes people cringe, it’s the disappearance of features for no apparent reason that sows confusion.
Indeed, last week gamers started noticing that pages dedicated to games no longer display their departure date from the catalog when they have only a few days left, like – we give it to you in a thousand — Xbox Game Pass. From now on, the latter could therefore have the unpleasant surprise of seeing a game in their wish list disappear from PlayStation Plus overnight, without them having had time to enjoy it beforehand.
Gamers unite against questionable Sony decisions
Suffice to say that the news is not really to everyone’s taste and that we had to organize ourselves to avoid this unpleasant situation. Thus, on Reddit, the user PushSquare went there from his little investigation and concocted a list of games which, according to him, should leave the catalog on November 15th. There she is :

The method used to achieve this result is not very clear but, frankly, it is already better than nothing. There is no doubt that Sony risks attracting even more the wrath of the players if the situation drags on and that the latter are obliged to proceed in this way every month, whereas the thing could not have been simpler until now.
