Poco Watch, Buds Pro: Poco enters the headphones and smartwatches market by cutting prices

POCO has just unveiled this Tuesday, April 26, 2022 its latest smartphone, the POCO F4 GT. Nevertheless, the device was not alone since the brand also presented its very first connected objects, namely the POCO Buds Pro, wireless headphones with ANC, and the POCO Watch, a smartwatch equipped with an AMOLED touch screen. 1.6″.

POCO has chosen to obscure (a little) the media scene this Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Indeed, the Chinese brand has made an appointment with fans and the press for the presentation of its latest smartphone: the POCO F4 GT . This device promises “exceptional performance” thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC engraved in 4nm and LiquidCool 3.0 cooling technology. In addition, it will sport a 120Hz AMOLED screen while 120W Hypercharge fast charging will also be part of it.

However, we will not discuss the POCO F4 GT in more detail in this article. We will focus instead on the two other products unveiled on Tuesday: the POCO Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition and the POCO Watch. And yes, POCO is entering the connected objects market with its first wireless headphones with active noise reduction and its first connected watch.

POCO launches Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition

Let’s start first with the POCO Buds Pro Genshin Impact Edition. Like Apple’s AirPods 3, Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Pro or Nothing Ear 1, POCO offers its own headphones with active noise reduction. According to the manufacturer, the POCO Buds Pro use an AI to automatically adjust the noise reduction parameters according to the ambient sound level and “of the daily routine” from the user.

The action of this AI does not stop there since it will take care deliver the clearest, crispest sound possible on calls, even in the noisiest environments. In terms of sound quality precisely, POCO promises “professional and authentic sound” thanks to 9mm composite dynamic driver. Of course, this remains to be verified in a thorough test. Note that the POCO Buds Pro have an in-ear detection function, that is to say that the sound will cut off immediately when the headphones are removed from your ears.

The manufacturer also specifies that the POCO Buds Pro are also water resistant (IPX4). In other words, they will be spill resistant. What about autonomy? The company promises 28 hours of uninterrupted listening via the charging box and ensures that the headphones can be recharged in just 10 minutes. On the design side, this special edition highlights the world of Genshin Impact game, with a case in the colors of the Klee backpack. POCO Watch: a fashion connected watch for fitness

We continue this overview of POCO announcements with the POCO Watch. Here again, POCO comes to rub shoulders with the tenors of the genre, the Apple Watch Series 7 and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 in the lead. Be careful however, we are in front of a less ambitious and much more accessible product, since offered from €79.99.

If we are to believe the first details revealed by the manufacturer, this POCO Watch promises to be a designer connected watch, designed above all for track your health and athletic performance. Precisely, the connected watch embeds a Multi-system GPS to offer greater precision in the measurements, while a Hundreds of exercise modes will be preinstalled. A sleep monitoring function is also included, as well as a SPO2 sensor to analyze your blood oxygen level.

Also according to the information shared by POCO, the POCO Watch will benefit from a 14 day battery life and it will be possible to recharge it via a magnetic charger. POCO’s connected watch will be available from May 10, 2022 in three colors, namely Black, Blue and Beige on Amazon and the Po.Co store at the price of €79.99. As a reminder, in February 2022, POCO unveiled the X4 Pro 5G, a smartphone equipped with a triple 108 MP photo sensor and a 120 Hz screen for a rather attractive price of 299 €. The device is powered by a 6nm Snapdragon 695, a mid-range chipset.
