QNAP focuses on being an IT infrastructure manufacturer » MuyCanal

Gone are the times when QNAP it was synonymous only with NAS or enterprise storage. Although it continues to be an important core of its business, its approach goes much further and seeks to continue broadening its horizons to become an IT infrastructure manufacturer with which it seeks to be more practical and advanced performance.

New products, new needs

Limiting releases within QNAP’s portfolio is one of the company’s goals for this year. “In this way, we want to improve supply, which is still difficult in certain categories, and focus on innovation in certain products”they explained.

Not for this reason we will not see news in QNAP. The first will come from its QTS Hero operating system, which launches version 5.10 in beta with new features such as multi-channel smb, sack authenticator, Auto RAID replacement, and a module to support AI with Hailo 8.

Also QNAP’s application hypervisor, Virtualization Station, is improved to give more coverage in virtualized environments.

For its part, the NAS family incorporates new members such as the TS-h1090FU with 25GbE, the TDS-h2489FU or the TS-h2490FU for Intel and AMD processors. High capacity comes with the TS-1655.

In the case of switches, the innovations include ADRA security that can be installed by default or with QNE Network OS that allows creating virtualization platforms to manage switches such as the QU CPE-7012. Also new is the QHORA 321/322 router with 2.5GbE with more user capacity.
