Quantumania is the second Marvel movie on Rotten Tomatoes… starting at the bottom

The Quantumania poster with a thumbs down

The ones that come to us from the other side of the pond are not good feelings. We refer to Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the new movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whose embargo has already been broken in the US, allowing us to know what the specialized press thinks about the tape. And we almost would have preferred not to know -many of us will already have a movie ticket purchased for this weekend- because the reviews couldn’t be more discouraging…

Quantumania and welcome to Kang

This Friday one of the most anticipated films of the season belonging to the UCM opens in theaters. Yes, you may have the feeling that we say that with every Marvel premiere, but this time, it couldn’t be with more reason: Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania it inaugurates neither more nor less than Phase 5 and with it makes the formal presentation of the great villain Kang, who will be the main headache of our superheroes in future films of the franchise.

As you know if you are hooked on the Disney + series, Kang already appeared in the first season of Loki, where he was presented to us as a mysterious character capable of dominating time and traveling through it. It is precisely this ability that he will try to cajole Ant-Man with in this new movie after meeting him in the Quantum Realm, thereby unleashing a real chaos -for a change.

He trailer It looks pretty good and the plot convinced us. For this reason, finding out about the analysis of the specialized press has been quite a surprise: in general terms, the film has not been liked at all.

The second on Rotten below!

The embargo in the US has been broken and that means that the specialized press pat can give their assessment of what they thought of the film and even give it an assessment on the famous Rotten Tomatoes platform. Thanks to this we have been able to see that the film has achieved, after 147 reviews, 53%which places the film in the second worst rated in the history of UCM movies, just below Eternals (which has 47%).

Obviously, this data will change -a. better or worse, who knows!-in the next few days when the public goes to the cinema and overturns their impressions, but without a doubt they do not bode well. Although the general opinion is that Quantumania “lacks the spark of fun from previous adventures” and that it is not a great start for the new phase of Marvel, at least most agree that we will be able to enjoy the Kang of Jonathan Majorswho aims to be an “exciting” villain and ready to alter the course of the MCU.

We will see how the atmosphere breathes from Friday when we can finally go to the cinema to see it.

And you, do you already have your ticket for this weekend or are you not going to give the new phase of Marvel a chance?
