Razer presents its portable console for Xbox GamePass

That of playing in the living room or in our room with the computer is coming to an end. Playing while on the train home from work is becoming more and more common and Razer knows it. For this reason, during the RazerCon 2022 eventthe company has presented the console Razer Edge 5G.

The portable console has been developed by Razer in combination with the Verizon company. To be able to enjoy it anywhere, 5G connection technology has been included. As an interesting fact, it is the first console of this type to be launched on the market with this type of connectivity.

There are many people who, due to different circumstances, spend many hours on public transport. Those dead moments are spent looking at the phone, since there is not much else to do. To meet the needs of users, Razer has designed a powerful and truly versatile portable console.

One of the main strengths of this console is that we are no longer going to depend on a WiFi connection. The Razer Edge is the first handheld console to offer 5G connection, as if it were a smartphone. Thanks to this we can access thousands of Triple A games without major problems.

This console is based on the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen1 Gaming. This ARM architecture processor is Qualcomm’s first developed exclusively for video games. It’s based on eight Kryo cores running at up to 3.0 GHz and an Adreno graphics optimized to offer great performance in games.

The console offers us access to Triple A games, whether they are Android games or from other points. It has the Epic Games Store Launcher natively, so we can play Fortnite, among others. We will also have access to the cloud services of Xbox Cloud Gaming and NVIDIA GeForce Now. In case all this is not enough, it also offers access to SteamLink.

Maximum quality for the most demanding users

This portable console makes use of a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution 2400×1080 pixels with a rate of 144hz refresh. We say that this console offers up to 87% more than other portable consoles on the market. Also, being based on AMOLED technology, we have purer blacks, great refresh time and great performance at low temperatures.

The screen is completely touch, but to offer more possibilities, they have integrated the control Razer Kishi V2 Pro. Two quite interesting elements are added. The first is Razer HperSense, which is Razer’s haptic technology and a 3.5mm jack connector. Thanks to this connector, we can connect headphones and enjoy the console without disturbing those around us.
