Various leaks have recently appeared renders of the pixel 8, which would become the standard model of the future generation of Google smartphones. At the design level and sticking to the material that has been made available to the public, it does not seem that there will be radical changes compared to the Pixel 7, but it can be seen that the corners are more rounded. On the other hand, everything indicates that the dimensions are going to be modified.
The leak mentions that the alleged dimensions of the Google Pixel 8 are of 150.5 x 70.8 x 8.9 mmso it would be 5 millimeters shorter and 2.4 millimeters narrower than the Pixel 7. The screen of the future standard model, which would be Super AMOLED type, would have a 6.2-inch diagonal size compared to the 6.3 of the Pixel 7. The bezels, according to the renders, they appear thinner, while the perforation of the front camera remains more or less in the same place and would have a size of 12 millimeters. For its part, the Pixel 8 Pro would incorporate a 6.52-inch screen, would work at 144Hz and would also be Super AMOLED type.
Other aspects that can be discerned from the renders is that the standard Google Pixel 8 will have a dual camera setup at the rear (or at least that’s what can be seen). The chassis material aims to be aluminum and the terminal would have physical buttons on the right side for the volume and turning the smartphone on and off. At the bottom is the already typical USB Type-C connector to recharge the battery and transfer data via cable.
Everything seems to indicate that Google’s Pixel 8 series of smartphones will use the search engine giant’s own Tensor G3 SoC and will use Android 14 as the default operating system. All the details about the devices, which are yet to be confirmed, should be known at the next Google I/O 2023 to be held on May 10, 2023.
