We’re not going to deny that we’re looking forward to the first official details of the next installment in the Grand Theft Auto saga, but considering how slowly things are going at Rockstar, we’d better arm ourselves with patience. Even so, there are many users who do not sleep because of it and insistently ask about the game, so Rockstar has decided to stop them.
Do not ask anything about GTA 6
Rockstar’s official Twitch channel hasn’t been broadcasting live for a long time, but that doesn’t stop many users from stopping by the chat room to talk about GTA and its entire universe. And of course, questions about the firm’s next game obviously appear in the conversations, something that the company seems to be tired of seeing continuously.
That is possibly the reason why the chat moderators have decided to include a series of forbidden words so that no user can name them in the room. The words in question are GTA 6 and GTA VI, so the classic phrases of “when are you going to release GTA 6” or “I want GTA 6 NOW” will not appear at any time in the conversation. That is just what a Reddit user warned, who saw how in the forums of gtaforums someone shared a screenshot with the forbidden word message.
Instead, an automated message with the message “Your message has not been published because it does not meet the moderation settings of the channel” will appear after your attempted post, saving you from writing anything related to the game. Of course, “Grand Thef Auto 6” or “GTA V + 1” work perfectly, so there are ways to talk about it.
Censorship or simple moderation?
Some users have been offended by such a chat adjustment, but the truth is that Rockstar is perfectly entitled to apply these rules. Basically because the community is quite heavy on the subject, and if at the moment there is absolutely nothing to share about it, why ask so much?
This measure has already been applied previously on the YouTube channel, where they also canceled the word so that they would stop asking about it. We already know how some gaming communities spend it, so things can get pretty intense if they go wide. Better to count for the healthy and notify when it touches.
But then, when does GTA 6 come out?
If at this point you are still asking yourself the million dollar question, it is because you have not understood anything. Rockstar has already said that it was officially working on the game, but from there until they say something else, there is still a long way to go. What they want you to do is keep enjoying GTA Online (and spending money in its virtual world), or the remastered version of GTA V for PS5 and Xbox Series X, and thus forget about that game you want so much for a while. and whose name we do not want to mention again.
