RTX 3090 Ti: a photo confirms the existence of the new graphics card at more than 3000 euros

Nvidia is about to announce a new high-end graphics card, the RTX 3090 Ti. This power monster will perform even better than the current RTX 3090, and its price is likely to soar.

Our colleagues from Videocardz managed to get their hands on an image unveiling the RTX 3090 Ti, which confirms the existence of this new reference just before its official presentation. Most of the features of the high-end graphics card were also unveiled.

As we could see with the previous leaks, Nvidia will use on its new RTX 3090 Ti 24 GB of ultra-fast GDDR6X memory clocked at 21 Gbps, against 19.5 Gbps for the GDDR6X memory of the RTX 3090. This will result in a memory bandwidth of more than 1 TB / sec, a first for the GeForce GPU family. This is 7.7% more memory bandwidth compared to the classic RTX 3090.

What technical specifications for the RTX 3090 Ti?

As for the spec sheet, the RTX 3090 Ti Founders Edition will have a base and boost frequency of 1560 MHz and 1860 MHz, respectively. This is 12% and 10% more than on the classic RTX 3090. We will also find 10,752 CUDA cores, against 10,496 for its little sister. However, the card has the same 384-bit memory bus as RTX 3090.

As you might expect, all that extra power takes a bit more energy. More precisely, the card will need 450W of energy. That’s 100W more than the RTX 3090, and the RTX 3090 Ti will be powered by the new 16-pin microfit MOLEX cable that NVIDIA will likely provide with the card. Some custom models including some Kingpin cards will even require more than 1000 W.

The new RTX 3090 Ti could be showcased at CES 2022 today, but the graphics card would not be available for sale before January 27. While today we find the different models of RTX 3090 around 3000 euros, this new version should see its price soar and get closer to 3500 euros or even 4000 euros for some models. Nvidia could share new information about it at a conference tonight.
