Samsung has announced the launch in Spain of the Odyssey Neo G8, the most advanced monitor of the new line for 2022 that the South Korean giant presented at the CES fair in January and that includes two other Neo G7 and G4 models.

Samsung Display is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of display screens. Supported by this division, it offers a wide catalog to cover any scenario of computer use. The ‘Odyssey’ series is expressly dedicated to gaming on PC and we have already seen models as spectacular as the 49-inch G9 Neo.

A step below the G9 in size and dedicated to those looking for the same technology in a smaller format (32 inches), a monitor arrives that appears as “the fastest 4K on the market”. And we are talking about the first 4K monitor that reaches a 240Hz refresh rate (actual). You already know that there are monitors with a higher refresh rate (360 Hz) and new 500 Hz ones are on the way, but they are limited to 1080p resolutions.

The Odyssey Neo G8 panel is the same as the G9. based on technology Quantum Mini-LED from Samsung promises deep, realistic blacks and CoreSync lighting technology, which detects colors on the screen and projects them onto the back of the monitor for deeper immersion.

The rest of the features border on a high level, starting with the 1000R curvature rate that, together with a futuristic design, shows a spectacular look. It also breaks records in other sections such as support for Quantum HDR 2000a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits, a static contrast ratio of one million to one, a response time of 1 millisecond, and support for 95% of the DCI-P3 color scale.

The monitor is equipped with a new screen technology called Matte Display, which provides anti-glare and anti-reflection protection and of course includes core picture sync technologies, AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-SYNC support. It includes Display Port 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 digital inputs, and its ergonomic base allows for height, tilt, and swivel adjustments. A really impressive model that finds a place in the top of monitors. No price has been provided, but we do not expect it to be cheap.
