Sony Announces New Line of Headphones and Monitors Optimized for the PlayStation 5

After recent rumors about the launch of a new gaming line, Sony has officially unveiled the Inzone line, a new brand of gaming monitors and headsets.

As previously revealed, the flagship product of the lineup is the M9, a 27-inch monitor with a 4K display. The equipment also has an IPS panel, 144Hz refresh rate and 1 millisecond response time.

In addition, the monitor is G-Sync compatible and supports variable refresh rate games due to the implementation of an HDMI 2.1 port.

If this port is used with a PlayStation 5, the monitor will automatically switch between low latency and image processing modes when detecting the type of content that will be played.

For those who want a higher refresh rate, which reaches 240Hz in Full HD, Sony also brought the M3, which has the same characteristics as its more powerful brother – although the high dynamic range performance is slightly lower than the 4K version.

Sony headphones

For those looking for headphones, Sony will offer three new models: the H9, H7 and H3. The H9 is the most powerful, as it has active noise cancellation, Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless connection, in addition to spatial audio support and synthetic leather ear pads.

The H7 is highlighted by its battery, which promises to be bigger than the H9. Sony reveals that the phone should have up to 40 hours of use – against 32 hours for the more expensive model. That’s because the headset removes noise cancellation to offer a longer-lasting experience.

The interesting thing about both, as mentioned by the Engadget, is the presence of two simultaneous connections on the H9 and H7 headphones. This means that the player can connect the peripheral to the console and smartphone at the same time, making communication through Discord, for example, easier – as there is still no dedicated app on Sony consoles.

Finally, the H3 is the brand’s simplest entry in the new lineup and can be used on PC or PlayStation 5 via a 3.5mm jack or USB cable.

price and availability

According to Sony, the M9 hits stores in the third quarter of this year for US$ 899 (R$ 4,730 in direct conversion). The M3 arrives sometime later this year for US$529 (R$2,780 in direct conversion).

In the case of headphones, the H9 has a suggested price of US$ 299 (R$ 1,570 in conversion), the H7 will arrive at US$ 229 (R$ 1,200) and the H3 for US$ 99 (R$ 520). In this case, the three models also arrive in the third quarter of this year.
