You may remember, a few weeks ago the final trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was published and, following the launch, I was wondering if it would arrive in good condition or if, on the contrary, it would take over from The Last of Us Part 1 for PC. The progress we’ve seen so far, added to the good taste that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order left me, pushed me to be a little more optimistic than is recommended in these situations. But, in case you’re wondering, common sense won out in the end and I preferred to wait for the release instead of pre-purchasing it. There are already too many bad experiences in this regard to sting once again.
I wished, however, that I had been wrong. I have, just on Steam, about 40 Star Wars games, to give you an idea of the close relationship I have with the saga, and I was excited about the proposed plot of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. What’s more, if everything had gone minimally well, I wanted to buy it today to dedicate a few hours to it during the long weekend that we will have in Madrid. And it’s been a long, long time since I reserved a long weekend for a single game. The good news is that, in the end, I will be able to dedicate the days of this long weekend to other diverse and entertaining purposes.
Because? Well, because the fears have been confirmed, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has managed to push TLoU Part 1 out of the spotlight. As you can see if you take a walk through the comments left on Steam by players who have already tried it, you can see for yourself that, again, we find a game that has arrived broken. And that despite the fact that its launch was initially scheduled for March 15, its launch was finally delayed for about a month and a half, precisely so that, in theory, this would not happen.

In this case, yes, we can affirm that the poor state of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is not exclusive to PC. As we can read in Wccftech, it seems that in Xbox Series X | S it has managed to save the file, but that the gaming experience on PlayStation 5 also deserves to be described as pitiful. The pity is that this, of course, is not a consolation for all those users who, once again, decided to rely on a pre-launch and have found that the developer and distributor have laughed at them again, to their faces, after having charged them no less than sixty euros.
At the time of publishing this news, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor accumulates 3,757 reviews on Steam, of which 3,421 are negative, that is, 91%. And as the platform itself remembers, the Steam summary only takes into account reviews from users who have purchased the game directly from its store, so we can rule out options such as review bombing or similar. No, the explanation is much simpler, once again we are faced with a launch that should not have occurred.
