The Galaxy S23 could well land with the latest One UI 5.1 interface

The start of 2023 will be marked by the arrival of Samsung’s new flagships: the Galaxy S23. Indeed, the next flagships of the South Korean brand will be officially presented on February 1, 2023 if we are to believe the latest statement from the renowned leaker Ice Universe.

While waiting for a possible statement from the manufacturer on this subject, the rumors and rumors of the hallway concerning the S23 continue on the web. While the 91Mobiles site recently unveiled official promotional images of the S23, it’s the turn of our colleagues at XDA Developers to bring something new.

If we already know that the S23 will mark their difference with their predecessor by integrating some changes on the hardware side such as the presence of the Soc Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 from Qualcomm or even more generous batteries, there would also be some additions on the software side.

One UI 5.1 will debut on the Galaxy S23

According to our colleagues on the site XDA Developersthe Galaxy S23 would enter the market with the latest version of the Samsung overlay: One UI 5.1. According to their information, Samsung has already started testing the firmware on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Otherwise, One UI 5.1 would therefore be deployed on the S22 in February 2023a few days after the official presentation of the S23.

Before getting carried away, however, it should be remembered that, except for a last minute surprise, One UI 5.1 will offer very few new features compared to version 5.0. Logically, it will be necessary to be satisfied with a few minor additions. As disclosed in a Samsung press release issued in October 2022, One UI 5.1 should notably integrate the customization of the notification window.

At this time, we don’t have any information on what additional features Samsung may include with One UI 5.1. As a reminder, after having started the deployment of One UI 5.0 on the Galaxy S22, the South Korean firm has released its interface under Android 13 on many Galaxy A smartphones, such as the A23, A22, A32 LTE, or even the A42 and A13 5G.
