Google’s new flagship is now entitled to 120 frames per second on the NVIDIA streaming service. When will the game play in 1440p?
Little by little, GeForce Now continues to make its way. NVIDIA’s game streaming service is getting more and more interesting; it now offers high refresh rate streaming for owners of the most high-end smartphones from Samsung. Now the happy owners of Google Pixel 6 Pro will also be entitled to this premium gaming experience.
According to the specialized site XDA Developers, the latest flagship released from Mountain View will be the next device to benefit from the game in 120 FPS. What promise gaming sessions of a fairly exceptional fluidity, and potentially comparable to that of a local game – provided however that the latency holds up.
But this rather enticing service will come at a high price. Indeed, it will be reserved for customers who have subscribed to the RTX 3080 offer. It is by far the most expensive offer in the GeForce Now catalog; the subscription of 6 months is indeed sold 99 €, which amounts to € 16.67 per month. But it’s also much more economical than buying your own card these days … Especially since for this price, players are entitled to 8 hours of gaming sessions on a machine equipped with an RTX 3080, which allows you to play in 1440p at 120 FPS.
The 120 FPS are there, but the 1440p is long overdue
Unfortunately, we should not hope to achieve this resolution on a smartphone; in the current state of things, the Android version of GeForce Now is still restricted to 1080p. Too bad for the Pixel 6 Pro, which will therefore not be able to assert its very beautiful 1440p screen in this context. But the increase in the frame rate of images per second is already a significant step forward. In addition, services of this type are on the rise at the moment, and Nvidia is working hard to democratize its GeForce Now; 1440p game streaming on Android could therefore happen faster than you think. Case to be continued!
